1. Choose a convenient location where you have seen magpies before. 
2. For 5 minutes between 10am-noon, each Saturday (or at least one Saturday per month), count the number of magpies you see.
3. Count at the same site each time. The more Saturdays you count, the more valuable your data becomes for magpie conservation.
4. Keep a record and e-mail the data to magpie-mail@magpiemonitor.org

When you send in data, please list the following in the subject line of your email: Saturday Count, Your Name i.e. Subject: Saturday Count Jane Doe.

Data should include:  Date, Time, Location (Nearest Cross streets), Zip Code, and # of magpies seen.
